1. Why This Policy Is Specific

We sell digital compliance documents that are often customized to your business. Once we prepare a customized document with your business name, contractor registration, crew size, and trade specifics — and deliver it to you — it cannot be "returned." This policy explains what we can refund and how.

2. Refund Categories

3. Subscriptions

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing orders@pacificbuildcompliance.com with "Cancel Subscription" in the subject line. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access (and receive law-change updates) until then.

Free trial

If you enrolled under a 14-day free trial, cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Once the first paid month begins, the standard cancellation policy applies (no refund for the current month).

Price changes

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. If you disagree with the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

4. One-Time Product Purchases

Uncustomized products

Some products are delivered as-is without customization (for example, certain checklists or reference kits). If you purchase an uncustomized product and have not downloaded it, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Email orders@pacificbuildcompliance.com with your order number and "Refund Request" in the subject.

Customized products

Most of our products involve an AI-assisted customization step where your business information is substituted into the template and the result is prepared specifically for your business. Once we complete customization and deliver the product:

  • The product is not refundable.
  • We will, however, correct genuine errors (typos, wrong business name, wrong CCB number, etc.) at no charge.

5. Defective or Undelivered Products

If a product is defective or you did not receive it, contact us immediately:

  • Not received within 3 business days of payment: check your spam folder, then email us. We'll resend or refund.
  • Corrupt file or broken document: we'll replace at no charge.
  • Content error that makes the document unusable: we'll correct at no charge or provide a full refund at your election.
  • Law change that makes the document outdated within the subscription update period: we will update at no charge (this is a benefit of subscription, not a refund).

6. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email orders@pacificbuildcompliance.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line.
  2. Include your order number, the product name, date of purchase, and the reason for your request.
  3. We will respond within 3 business days.
  4. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

7. What We Cannot Refund For

Consistent with industry standards for digital goods, we do not refund for:

  • Change of mind after downloading a product.
  • Dissatisfaction with the scope of a template when that scope was clearly described on the product page.
  • Circumstances where you did not read the product description or understand what you were purchasing before buying.
  • Subscription fees for periods already consumed.
  • Failure to use the product effectively in your business (we provide templates; implementation is your responsibility).

8. Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not limit any statutory refund rights you may have under Washington consumer protection law or other applicable law. If a statutory right gives you a stronger refund remedy, that statutory right controls.

9. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, please first attempt to resolve the issue with us directly by email. If we cannot resolve the issue, the dispute resolution procedures in our Terms of Use apply.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy when our practices or the law changes. The "Effective" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Refund requests are evaluated under the policy in effect on the date of your purchase.
